Full Description: Metaflam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing Meloxicam, used to manage pain and inflammation in dogs . It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX), reducing the production of prostaglandins, substances that cause pain and inflammation. While Meloxicam has a lower ratio of COX-2 to COX-1 inhibition than Carprofen, it still effectively provides pain relief with a reduced risk of gastrointestinal side effects.

Metaflam is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, such as osteoarthritis, in dogs 6 months or older. It can also be used to control post-operative pain. Available in chewable tablet and oral suspension forms, Metaflam offers a convenient way to administer pain relief to your pet.

Dosage and Administration:

  • Initial dose: 0.2mg/kg body weight.
  • Maintenance dose: 0.1mg/kg body weight.
• Oral Suspension:
  • Initial dose: 4 drops/kg body weight.
  • Maintenance dose: 2 drops/kg body weight.

Presentation: Metaflam is available in different pack sizes:
