ORT CALF: Oral Rehydration Therapy

Benefits:

• Treats dehydration in calves, replenishing electrolytes and aiding recovery from diarrhea.
• Quick recovery from diarrhea by providing essential buffering agents, electrolytes, and energy.

Indications:

• Dehydration associated with diarrhea and stress due to various factors such as overfeeding, infections, dehorning, transportation, etc.

Direction for Use:

• Mix sachets A and B with one liter of lukewarm water.
• Scouring calves: Administer one liter of ORT Calf solution 2-3 times daily for 2-3 days.
• Stressed calves: Administer one liter of ORT Calf solution 2 times daily for 1-2 days.
• Can be mixed with milk or milk replacer.

Recommended Range (per liter):

• Glucose: 20-25 g/L
• Buffering Capacity: 30-80 mmol/L
• Sodium (Na*): 90-140 mmol/L
• Chloride (Cl-): 40-80 mmol/L
• Potassium (K+): 20-30 mmol/L

Shelf Life: 24 hours after dilution or reconstitution.
